HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR CANDLES

TRIM YOUR WICK

An important component of maintaining a candle is cutting the wick to the proper length. Trim the wick to about 3 mm before lighting the candle and again after 4 hours of burning duration.

 

If you trim your candle before lighting it, it will burn more steadily and cleanly, and it will last longer.

 

When the wick becomes too low for scissors, a wick trimmer can be useful. If you don't have a wick trimmer, pinching the wick with your fingertips is a good alternative.

 

IMPORTANCE OF THE FIRST BURN

On the initial burn, check to see that the top layer has fully melted. Otherwise, the wax will pool around the outside of the candles after each use.

 

To prevent tunneling during subsequent burns, lighting your candle for at least three hours during the first burn is recommended.

 

STAY ORGANIZED AND NEAT

Don't leave any half-burned wicks or matches in your molten wax pool, as this can cause a clog. When the candle begins to smoke, rather than a pleasant aroma, you will be met with black charring.

 

Burnt wicks that aren't trimmed pose a fire hazard and can produce an unpleasant odor if they fall into the molten wax.

 

Most people skip this essential step in candle maintenance, yet doing so will keep your candle burning smoothly and smelling great for much longer.

 

CRUSHED INTO SMALL PIECES IN 4 HOURS

We suggest limiting your candle's burn period to no more than 4 hours at a time to prevent any potential problems. Keep an eye on your candle as it burns for added safety.

 

Our candles must be kept out of the reach of children and animals. The candle should not be touched until it has completely cooled down to room temperature to prevent injury.

 

Place them 10 centimeters apart from one another and keep them out of drafts and away from combustible materials.

 

Cease all fire below 5 millimeters.

If the thickness of your candle has reached 5 mm, it is time to put it out. In any case, if you like our luxury candles so much, you can always buy another one and enjoy them for another 40 hours.
